ABC Renews Popular Dramas: Revenge, Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, More

ABC has confirmed which of its popular shows will be back for another run of episodes in the 2014-15 season.

Revenge, starring Emily Vancamp and Madeleine Stowe, has been picked up for a fourth run; while Shonda Rhimes' hits Scandal and Grey's Anatomy have also unsurprisingly been renewed.

The former has now in fact overtaken the latter in the ratings, and the star power of lead actor Kerry Washington has been massively boosted as a result. On top of that, there is also Emmys buzz for supporting stars Bellamy Young and Guillermo Diaz.

As previously reported, several Grey's Anatomy founding stars have signed up to return for what will be its eleventh season; including Justin Chambers (as Alex Karev), Chanda Wilson (Miranda Bailey) and James Pickens Jr (Richard Webber) as well as protagonists Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) and Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd). Sandra Oh, however, departed as Cristina Yang in the tenth season.

Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin's Once Upon A Time has also been renewed, despite sliding ratings; while Nathan Fillion's Castle will continue into the next year as well.

Also given the thumbs-up is Resurrection, which has proven to be a midseason hit since its debut earlier this year. The supernatural show about dead people returning to life has been achieving up to 13 million viewers and a giant 4.0 demo rating.

ABC has additionally revealed the new shows that are set to take to the air, including Hayley Atwell's Captain America: The First Avenger spin-off, Agent Carter. Karen Gillan will also be seen in new comedy Selfies, and Rhimes will have three shows on the air when her new project How To Get Away With Murder kicks off, starring Viola Davis.
