'It's Called The Good Wife Not The Good Slut!' Julianna Margulies Insists Alicia Won't Be Chasing Men Following Shock Twist

The Good Wife star Julianna Margulies has insisted her character on the show won't be chasing after other men following the shock death of her on/off lover WIll Gardner on the show.

Sunday night's episode saw a whole lot of drama unfold at Cook Country Courthouse when Gardner (Josh Charles) was gunned down by his deranged client, Jeffrey Grant (Hunter Parrish), in the middle of a court proceeding, and with his lifeless body flashing up on screen, it looks certain that that's the end for one of the hit series' key characters.

In the wake of the episode Julianna has done a Facebook chat with her fans to tease what's to come for Alicia after Will's death. While Sunday night's episode was dramatic enough, the actress insists fans need to tune into this week's episode too which is packed full of emotion.

“I really encourage you to watch this coming Sundays episode, you will see what she really thinks about Will. And bring tissues," Julianna told fans. “Next week’s episode was the hardest thing", she added. “You will see and hear Will all through the episode, but that’s all I can say.”

The actress added that she was well aware of Will’s goodbye ahead of time: “They ran it by me first before bringing it to the Network, and Josh and I both thought it was a brilliant idea.”

As for Alicia and Will's romance, she's not actually sure they were destined for each other, despite what fans wanted. “I think the reason everyone wanted Will and Alicia together was because they weren’t together. I actually never thought they could make it, too much baggage on both sides.”

Even though Alicia has lost her on/off love, she won't be moving on anytime soon according to Julianna. “It’s called THE GOOD WIFE! Not the GOOD SLUT!", she joked. She also shot down rumours of an Alicia-Cary romance, as well as the idea of her old ER co-star George Clooney joining the show.

“The closure will come eventually, but the next few episodes are very Willcentric in Alicia’s mind, she added before saying that she hopes Alicia will find love again eventually. “I hope so, don’t we all wish that for anyone who has lost a love in their life? That being said, it will take a long time.”

Margulies was also asked about her own very hot attorney, her husband Keith Lieberthal and whether he could replace Charles on the show: “If he could or wanted to act, I would happily have him, but he is soooo uninterested in acting, he just likes to see it!", she explained.
