David Walliams And Lara Stone 'Set To Divorce Next Month' After Five Years Of Marriage

After trying a trial separation earlier this month, it's being reported that David Walliams and his supermodel wife Lara Stone are 'set to divorce next month'.

The two have been married for five years and were trying a temporary separation, but are now apparently looking to sign divorce papers in the next few weeks.

According to a 'friend' who spoke to The Mirror, 31-year-old Lara "is never going back" with the 43-year-old comedian, although the two are "devastated" that they couldn't make things work.

The 'friend' claims: "Lara has no intention of returning and will sign her divorce papers soon. She has been telling people she is never going back.

"As far as she is concerned the marriage is finished.

"They’re both devastated that they haven’t been able to make it work."

Another source revealed that David, who has Alfred, a two-year-son, with Lara, has been keeping busy and surrounding himself with friends during this tough time.

The source revealed: "David has been trying to keep busy as much as possible, he is trying to not let this get the better of him.

"He often invites friends to the cinema and is making sure he doesn’t have too much time on his own.

"One person who has really been there for him is Catherine [Tate].

"She split with her partner who she has a child with and she knows what David is going through."

Simon Cowell also recently revealed that he'd given some advice to his fellow Britain's Got Talent judge, explaining: "I said to him, 'you're not the only person in this situation'.

"That's a cliche thing to say but it's true. Don't feel too sorry for yourself. It's bad news and I feel bad for him but he has to carry on with his life."

The couple's original trial separation came as a shock to all of their friends, even though the couple have hardly seen each other over the last six months due to their busy work schedules.

The source revealed: "It has stunned David's friends and TV colleagues, everyone thought the marriage was strong."
