X Factor 2014: Jack Walton Trusted Louis Tomlinson More Than His Mentor Mel B

Well, at least Louis never confused him for Jake Quickenden...

Eeek, the beef is brewing.

X Factor hopeful Jack Walton lost his place in the competition following a cruel twist of fate in Saturday night's show, and he has well and truly let loose on former mentor, Mel B.

During Jack's time on the show, One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, not to be confused with X Factor judge Louis Walsh, was a very vocal cheerleader for Jack, joining him at rehearsals and tweeting a whole load of messages of support.

In fact, Louis was such a big fan of the eighteen-year-old that when it was announced that he had been eliminated he took to Twitter to vent his outrage, writing: "What a f****** joke", followed by a more clean: "Gutted. Don't think he was given a fair chance with his songs."

A sentiment which Jack seems to agree with as he has now come out slamming his former mentor, revealing: "I didn't really like the song choices.

“Louis really believed in me though, he wanted me to do my own style. That’s what I wanted to do, and I should have stuck to that.

“I’ve got massive support from him, he’s been a massive help throughout the competition telling me what I should sing. I wish I had listened to him a little bit more. He’s been so involved.

"I trusted his judgment more than Mel B. He’s been there before, done it all.

"Mel B was honest but I didn’t quite get what she was trying to get out of me. I was doing completely different stuff every week. I just felt like I should stick to one type of style which is my own style and what I do at gigs.”

Ooft.

And, to be fair to Jack, Louis never did confuse him with eliminated act Jake Quickenden, unlike Mel who tweeted to her followers on Saturday night to vote for Jake in an embarrassing social media blunder.

Following Mel's massively emotional reaction to Jake getting the boot last week (she cried and stormed off stage), Jack couldn't help but notice that her response to his elimination was incredibly lacklustre.

He dished: "There were no tears for me from Mel, she cried for Jake last week. I didn’t really see her after I got booted off. She just said ‘I’ll let you have your moment’, then she went.”

Don't worry babes, we'd take Louis over Mel any day of the week.

Jack goes on to add that he found it hard to talk to Mel because she is such an intimidating person, saying: "It’s difficult to pipe up infront of someone like that.

“I wouldn’t have minded to see what Simon Cowell could have done with me. He has been more positive and more real about me. He said I could be a recording artist and that is essentially what I wanted to be.”

The singer also revealed that contestants aren't given a fair deal when it comes to song choice, sharing: “It’s all about making good TV. Their job is to get songs that viewers are going to like.

“Whether that suits the person or not, I don’t think they are really bothered. They would much rather you do the song they choose.

“If you say no, they will try and persuade you. Take Paul Akister for example, he was saying ‘no, no, no.’ “He went to a meeting to change it and for some reason they persuaded him to keep the song.

"I think the contestant should be wearing the trousers a bit in that situation.”

Jack's relationship with Mel appeared to be a little bit on the volatile side weeks ago when there was an awkward tension between the singer and his mentor following his 80s Week performance.

Viewers immediately picked up on the frosty atmosphere between the two, and it sounds as though there is no love lost between Jack and the show in general, who concluded his rant with: "I don’t want to watch it. It doesn’t really interest me anyway. I’ve never watched it before.

"I’ll only watch it to see how my mates are doing, but I’ll be gigging. And at one of my gigs you won’t be seeing stuff like what I did on the show.”

Yikes, the claws really are out with this one.

On a slightly more civil note, Cheryl is down to her last act in the show following last night's elimination where she lost fishmonger Lola Saunders.

Lola found herself in the sing off with eight-piece boyband Stereo Kicks, who were found to have the most public votes when the judges took it to deadlock.

The poor group can't seem to catch a break as this is the second time that they have found themselves in the bottom two, but have vowed to come back fighting next week.

You go guys, show 'em what you're made of.
