E3 2018 Bethesda conference: Fallout 76 release date, Doom Eternal and The Elder Scrolls VI confirmed
We're technically into day three of E3 2018. EA kicked things off yesterday, and Microsoft had an extremely strong show earlier today (well, yesterday). But Bethesda wasn't going to let Microsoft take all the glory, knocking it out of the park with the confirmation of The Elder Scrolls VI, Doom Eternal, and giving us more details about online RPG Fallout 76. There was even a performance from Andrew WK (the guy who sang Party Hard.)
Let's have a look at the biggest announcements.
Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is going to be an online experience, allowing you to team up with friends or play solo. The title is a prequel to all the other Fallout games, with your character being one of the first to emerge from a vault in West Virginia after the nuclear disaster. Todd Howard assured us that the servers won't be packed with people, only having a dozen players rather than hundreds. Luckily your character won't just be tied to one server, so you can hope between them.
Fallout 76 has 16 times the detail with new lighting and rendering. There's six unique regions, new creatures, and the folklore of West Virginia is a big influence on these creatures. According to Howard, it's four times bigger than Fallout 4. There will also be a building element.
Another new feature is the inclusion of nuclear weapons. You can collect codes to activate a nuclear launch, devastating your enemies. "The easiest way is to team up," says Howard.
So, when's it out? November 14, 2018. There will also be a beta beforehand.
The Elder Scrolls VI
Bethesda confirmed The Elder Scrolls VI is on it's way, but there were no further details.
Doom Eternal
A Doom sequel was confirmed with a teaser trailer. According to Bethesda, Doom Eternal will have twice as many "badass demons" and the doomslayer will be even stronger. Unfortunately the title won't be demoed until QuakeCon in August.
Rage 2
We finally got a closer look at Rage 2 with a gameplay trailer, there was also a live performance from Andrew WK to announce it. From what we seen, it looks as chaotic as ever
Prey
Arkane Studios has been teasing Prey content for a while now, so it was no surprise when a new Prey DlC was announced - Mooncrash. It's available now. In addition, a new free update is being rolling out tonight which adds new game plus, survival mode, and story mode options.
If that's not enough, later this summer a new multiplayer mode called Typhon Hunter will also be available. It's a lethal game of hide and seek where one player is a goes against five mimics who can disguise themselves as anything.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood
A new Wolfenstein title was announced which focuses on B.J. Blazkowicz's twin daughters, and is set in 80s Paris. There's also a Wolfenstein VR game coming out called Cyberpilot.
Not enough for you? Wolfenstein 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch in a few weeks "in our message to bring the message f*** Nazis to every platform possible."
Starfield
All we know about Starfield is it's a next generation single-player game and Bethesda's "first wholely original franchise in 25 years."
The Elder Scrolls Online DLC
The Elder Scrolls Online is getting a new Dungeon DLC called Wolf hunter, which will be based on werewolves. In addition, a new story DLC called Murkmire is in production, which takes players back to Blackmarsh and explores Argonian lore.
The vault is closed
And with that epic finally we are done. Bethesda certainly gave us everything we were looking for. Though not everyone is happy about Fallout 76 being online.
The Elder Scrolls VI
It's coming. We know nothing about it, but we know it's coming.
Starfield
A next generation single-player game and "the first wholely original franchise in 25 years."
The Elder Scrolls: Blades
A mobile version of Elder Scrolls? That's a bit of a disappointment Howard. But it'll be coming to mobile for free this Fall (and later VR).
Fallout Shelter
Coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 tonight. Still going to be free.

Skyrim and Alexa?
Keegan-Michael Key is doing a bit with an Alexa.

Who else would reveal more details on Fallout 76 but Todd Howard?

New trailer for Quake Champions but not much other news on that front. Apart from the fact 'Quake Dad' will haunt that poor man forever.
Quake Dad
Apparently 'Quake Dad' is a thing. There was an awkward silence.

Rage 2
According the devs, you are Walker, the last ranger of the wasteland. We're getting to see some gameplay, looks like Rage is more destructive and chaotic than ever.
Due Spring 2019.
Andrew WK
Nope, it's genuinely happening.
You might remember Andrew, or Andy as I hear he likes to be called, from the hit Party Hard.
Rage 2 live performance
Andrew WK is on the Bethesda stage to officially sing his song from Rage 2. I'm not sure if I've gone delirious now.
Time to open the vault
And we're off! Let's see if Bethesda can match Microsoft's conference from earlier today (well, yesterday).
What are you wanting to see?
We'll probably be seeing more of Fallout 76 and Rage 2 - that's a given. But let us know in the comments what you would ideally like Bethesda to show tonight? A new Elder Scrolls, maybe Doom 2? We can always dream.
Bethesda conference kicks off in 20 minutes
Not long to go, it's late, but we will power through together! At least we know Tom Hoggins is suffering over in Los Angeles...oh wait...
At Bethesda. I have a beer, this tent is quite cool and the stage looks great. How to do a press conference 101. #E32018pic.twitter.com/O5ReoiDJQz
