Roger Moore Pays Tribute To 'True Gent' Patrick Macnee
Roger Moore has paid tribute to his ‘A View To A Kill’ co-star Patrick Macnee, calling the 'Avengers’ legend 'a true gent’.
Macnee played Sir Godfrey Tibbett in the Bond movie, opposite Moore’s 007, Moore’s last outing as the MI6 agent.

Taking to Twitter, Moore said: “So very sad to hear Pat MacNee has left us.
“We were mates from 1950s and I have so many happy memories of working with him. A true gent.”
Moore joined a host of stars and fans paying tribute online.

Macnee died yesterday at his home in California, at the age of 93.
A statement published on his official website read: “Daniel Patrick Macnee died a natural death at his home in Rancho Mirage, California, at age 93, with his family at his bedside, according to his son, Rupert.”
The actor was best known for his role as John Steed in the 'Avengers’ TV series, from 1961 to 1969, in which he formed an iconic partnership with Diana Rigg and Honor Blackman.
He later paired with Joanna Lumley and Gareth Hunt in the 'New Avengers’ in the 1970s.
Other films featuring Macnee included 'This Is Spinal Tap’, while his TV work featured spots on 'Columbo’, 'Battlestar Galactica’, 'The Littlest Hobo’, 'The Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.’, and 'Around The World In 80 Days’.
Macnee’s family is asking for donations to be made to The Actor’s Fund instead of flowers.
