4 Cool Things Revealed In The New Fantastic Four Trailer

A brand new trailer for this summer’s ‘Fantastic Four’ has been released revealing tons of new info about 20th Century Fox’s gritty reboot.

Watch it above.

This new vision of the ‘Fantastic Four’ comes from Josh Trank, the director of ‘Chronicle’, and seems pretty far removed from the primary-coloured japes of the two previous film.

Here’s four awesome new things revealed by the the new trailer…

1: The Baxter Building

Like the Avengers have Avengers Tower, the Fantastic Four have the Baxter Building. The foursome call the fictitious New York skyscraper their home in the comics, but for this film it looks like it’s the offices of the mysterious Baxter Institute, where Sue and Johnny Storm’s father Dr. Franklin Storm works.

2: Doctor Doom

This is the first we’ve seen of Victor Domashev, the character who turns into the new Doctor Doom. British actor Toby Kebbell plays the classic ‘Fantastic Four’ nemesis and his new origin seems to be tied to the dimension-hopping teleportation devices created by Reed Richards and co. It looks like Domashev fuses with his teleportation machine in an accident reminiscent of ‘The Fly’.

3: The Thing

‘Billy Elliot’ star Jamie Bell may seem like an unlikely choice to play The Thing, but he looks like the part thanks to some rather nifty CGI work which transforms him into the half-man-half-rock beast.

4: Superpowers

The first teaser trailer only gave a brief look at the Four in action, so it’s great to see their powers on show in this new trailer. Miles Teller’s Reed Richard/Mr Fantastic has stretchy limbs, Jamie Bell’s Ben Grimm/The Thing has super strength and impenetrable skin, Michael B Jordan’s Johnny Storm/The Human Torch can fly and can burst into flame, and Kate Mara’s Stu Storm/The Invisible Woman obviously has invisibility but she can also generate force fields too.

As well as all this, Fox has launched a brand new poster for the film with the tagline “Change is Coming”.
