Watch Chris Evans Get Defeated by a Locked Door in This ‘Captain America 2’ Blooper Reel

A nice thing about saving the world on a movie set: If at first you don’t succeed, you get at least a few takes to get it right. Another nice thing: Even your blunders have great entertainment value.

Things go wrong for Chris Evans and fellow cast members from Captain America: The Winter Soldier in this just -released blooper reel from the hit sequel, which had its DVD and Blu-ray release this week. For starters, Cap cannot, for the life of him, use that indestructible shield of his to bust a door open — his frustration reaching a point that Evans lets out toddler’s woe-is-me whine. In another scene, the shield seems to topple Evans as he fake-battles Sebastian Stan, who plays the titular villain.

Scarlett Johansson, Colbie Smulders and the always hilarious Anthony Mackie get in on the act, too. It’s Mackie’s “Cut the check” catchphrase – which he explained to Movieweb comes from The Roots’ track "Don’t Say Nuthin,’" and says “every time I do something that’s worth getting paid” – that gets the most play. It’s not exactly a blooper, but we’ll take it. Cut the check!

Apparently it’s blockbuster-blooper week on the interwebs this week. Also released — as part of the now-in-stores Star Trek: The Compendium set —  is this check-cutting gag reel from last year’s Star Trek Into Darkness :
