Ant-Man: First Trailer Length & Rating Revealed

The first details of the debut trailer for Marvel Studios’ ‘Ant-Man’ have been revealed.

Peyton Reed’s summer blockbuster will show off its first footage in a one minute and 48-second trailer given a PG rating by the Alberta Film Classification Board.

Also listed on the site are classifications for other trailers released in recent weeks, including ‘Focus’, ‘Entourage’ and ‘In The Heart Of The Sea’, indicating that the trailer isn’t far from being shown to the public.

A potential release date could be 6 January, 2015, when ABC starts airing Marvel TV series ‘Agent Carter’. The first trailer for Marvel’s other 2015 blockbuster – ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ – was originally intended to air during an early episode of ‘Agents of SHIELD’ earlier this year, so that they be something they attempt to repeat.

No further details were given about the trailer, but the reasonable runtime suggests we’ll see a fair amount of footage from the film set for release in roughly seven months.

Paul Rudd stars as Scott Lang, who assumes the superhero’s mantle and powers from Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym – the original ‘Ant-Man’. Evangeline Lilly also stars as Pym’s daughter Hope Van Dyne. Corey Stoll will play villain Darren Cross, aka Yellowjacket.

Peyton Reed directs having taken over from Edgar Wright, who departed the project shortly before filming began earlier this year. Wright’s script remains, but has been rewritten (to what degree we don’t know) by ‘Anchorman’ director Adam McKay.

‘Ant-Man’ will be released on 17 July, 2015.
