Arnold Schwarzenegger Posts Odd Birthday Tribute Picture To Son Patrick

To mark his son Patrick coming of age, the Governator celebrated by posting a family snap from the Schwarzenegger archives.

But rather than Patrick, say, looking all toothless and cute blowing out the candles of his sixth birthday cake, he instead went for a shot of the Schwarzenegger men taking a leak at a urinal.

Posting on Facebook, Arnie wrote: “Happy birthday to a great son who has grown into a great man, Patrick Schwarzenegger. I’m so proud of you and I love you. #tbt.”

It was Throwback Thursday (#tbt) indeed, with Arnie busting a pair of what look like classic Adidas Torsion sneakers, while chinos were clearly a popular choice for the male Schwarzeneggers back in the mid 90s.

Since the picture was snapped, however, things in the Schwarzenegger household have changed somewhat, with Arnold now estranged from his sons Christopher and Patrick’s mother Maria Shriver, a member of the esteemed Kennedy family.

Though their divorce is not final, they split in 2011 following revelations that Arnold had father a son with the family housekeeper.

There have also been claims that Shriver too had had an affair while she and Schwarzenegger were married.

Meanwhile, only last week Arnold rather clumsily attempted to have his wife’s image removed from an official portrait being hung in the State Capitol in Sacramento, recognising his time as the California State Governor.

Insiders spotted that a large blotch that had appeared on the painting was in fact covering over a small picture of Shriver on a lapel badge which the artist had included at the Austrian Oak’s request when he sat for the painting several years previously.
