Batmobile Appears On Suicide Squad Set

It looks as though Batman and The Joker are about to go head-to-head in the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ movie… as the all-new Batmobile appears on set.

It’s no secret that Ben Affleck’s Batman will be appearing in ‘Suicide Squad’. After all, he’s rumoured to be the focus of the Squad’s attention as they bust The Joker out of jail just to get more info about the Dark Knight.

But now it looks as though he’ll be facing The Joker… at least, from behind the wheel.

Appearing on Instagram, a number of new set photos and short videos confirms the appearance of the Batmobile on the set of ‘Suicide Squad’ in Toronto.

And it sounds as though a rather cool car chase might be in order.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Batman linked to the production of ‘Suicide Squad’. After all, we recently saw Ben Affleck heading to the set himself. But with the new Batmobile being prepped on location – as well as The Joker’s very own garish purple supercar – it looks as though we might just get an epic car chase between the two DC rivals.

But what does this tell us about the events of the ‘Suicide Squad’ movie?

Unfortunately, very little for the time being. It’s long been rumoured that Batman will be the focus of the entire film, with Squad founder Amanda Waller sending them off on a mission to get intel on the Dark Knight. Of course, her obsession inevitably leads them to The Joker, and it’s said that a cunning prison breakout is needed to get their man.

But do these scenes show us how The Joker ended up behind bars?

After The Joker appeared on set with a very different look to the one revealed by director David Ayer, many fans have speculated that this could all be part of a flashback. After all, if Ben Affleck’s Batman will be taking on The Joker, it could well provide a glimpse at their long-established game of cat and mouse.

Will The Joker escape Batman’s clutches or will he end up in the slammer?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Suicide Squad’ heads to cinemas on 5 August 2016.
