Just when we thought we couldn’t love Benedict Cumberbatch any more, he hit the red carpet for the London Film Festival Opening Night Gala, and was basically perfect.

He was there as the leading man of ‘The Imitation Game’, the Alan Turing biopic that opened the festival, and despite the miserable weather, he turned on the charm and brought a bit of sunshine to the rain-soaked crowds.
Here is with his own personal umbrella-holder.
He even looks good holding his own brolly…
In fact, let’s go close-up for that full Cumber-smoulder…
Poor Keira Knightley, who called Benedict’s performance in the film “beautiful”, struggled with the blustery weather…
So good old Benedict stepped in to hold the umbrella…
He even made sure she stayed out of the wet weather with a protective arm around the shoulder…
What we wouldn’t give to share a brolly with Benny. Looks fun doesn’t it?
He eventually managed to get out of the rain and had a cheerful reunion with his co-star Mark Strong. Yes, we’d swoon too Keira.
Finally, he gathered his co-stars for that all-important cast selfie…
And here’s the finished product…
The film is getting rave reviews with Benedict being tipped for his first Oscar nomination for his portrayal of the genius who helped crack the German Enigma code in WW2.
It’s just the opening night of the LFF, so stay tuned for more red carpet galas and premieres over the next 12 days. We can’t promise anything will top the Cumberbatch show though.
