Channing Tatum's Hilarious Celebration Email For 22 Jump Street Success

Remind us never to enter into any competitive shenanigans with Channing Tatum, because it sounds like he’s not a spectacularly gracious winner.

In a moment that might give Sony Pictures some brief comic relief amid the mounting revelations emerging from the hack of their servers, the ‘22 Jump Street’ star was seemingly tickled pink about the surprise success of the sequel.

The missive from Tatum was picked out of a thread by Gawker between co-star Jonah Hill, the studio co-chair Amy Pascal and other Sony executives when the film began blazing through the US box office earlier this year.

Tatum gleaned particular pleasure from beating Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg’s ‘Ted’ too, it seems.

“F YOU TED !!!! SECOND OF ALLLL TIMMMMME BEEEOTCH!!!! COME ON JUMPSTREETERS WE GOT CATE BLANCHETT WIT DIS BOX OFFICE BITCHES!!!!!!!!,” he wrote.

“AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHHAHAHAHA…”

The ‘aaahhahaa’s then extend for a lengthy 14,553 characters.

The movie did perhaps deserve a few of those characters – it made in the region of £210 million worldwide, with a third movie now in development.

It’s not the first time that the burgeoning buddy-cop franchise was mentioned among the glut of hacked emails from Sony.

It emerged last week that a possible merging of the ‘Men In Black’ and ‘Jump Street’ movies was being floated.

In a following email, Jonah Hill described the idea as ‘clean and rad and powerful’.
