Christopher Nolan Will Be First In Line To See Ben Affleck’s Batman

Christopher Nolan has admitted that he can’t wait to see ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’.

The ‘Batman Begins’, ‘Dark Knight’ and ‘Dark Knight Rises’ filmmaker produced Zack Snyder’s 2013 Superman origin story, ‘Man Of Steel’, and even though he’s not as heavily involved in its follow-up he is still “totally psyched” to see it.

During a discussion with USA Today the ‘Interstellar’ filmmaker also declared that he will be the first person in line to see what Snyder and his new Batman, Ben Affleck, have done with the icon.

“Zack’s a great friend,” the director declared. “And I know Ben and he’s just an extraordinary guy. I’ll be the first in line to see what they’ve done.”

Christopher Nolan’s involvement in DC’s burgeoning franchise still isn’t quite that clear. It’s widely believed that he was heavily involved in ‘Man Of Steel’s’ pre-production as Snyder and his creative moulded a new world for Superman.

In fact he even shares a story by credit on the blockbuster with David S. Goyer, who scribed the film’s screenplay and also provided the script for Nolan’s ‘Batman Begins’ too.

However it appears as though his position has diminished for the impending superhero hybrid, as he is now only involved in an advisory role as an executive producer.

Which is probably wise because his looming presence would only have added more pressure to Zack Snyder’s production. With Nolan in the background Snyder can truly sculpt the world that he wants with ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ and the two ‘Justice League’ films.

Some fans don’t want it that way. But at least Snyder has one pretty important man on his side.

'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It will hit cinemas on March 26, 2016.
