There’s going the extra mile, and then there’s have a chunk of your nose removed so that you can look like a Marvel Comics villain.

But Venezuelan comic book fan Henry Damon, 37, has undergone the stomach-churning procedure in order to emulate Red Skull, the Nazi supervillain from Captain America.

Damon, who is now calling himself Red Skull, had already had subdermal implants in his forehead, but has now had the end of his nose removed as the first step in his transformation.

He’s also had his eyeballs tattooed black.

The procedure was performed by Emilio Gonzales, a dropout of medical school who now specialises in tattooing and body surgery.

It’s said that Damon underwent a number of psychological tests before going under the knife.

“Henry aka Red Skull is a physically and intellectually healthy person,” Gonzalez said.

“He’s an excellent son, husband and father, who has an extreme taste for body modification.

“Most of my customers know that body modification is the last step of body art, everyone knows very well what they want and as well as Henry, many of them are waiting for me for many years to make their dreams a reality.”

And that’s not all.

“Next will be silicone implants on the cheekbones, chin and cheeks. Then we will tattoo his entire face red and then he will be Red Skull,” added Gonzalez.

Damon was photographed at the annual Venezuela Tattoo International Expo in Caracas last week.

Red Skull first appeared on screen in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, where he was played by Australian actor Hugo Weaving.
