Courteney Cox: No Friends Reunion Because Of Her ‘Flaky’ Co-Star

The ‘Friends’ reunion is never going to happen, says Courteney Cox.

And she’s hinted that it’s because one member of the cast always 'flakes’ when they try to get the old crew back together.

Speaking to Yahoo, Cox, who played Monica Geller in the smash series, said: “Dear lord, let it go people, we’re not doing it! It’s just not going to happen.”

Cox explained that all six actors from the show – herself, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston – have not once been in the same room at the same time since the show ended in 2004.

“We’ve not really had a Friends reunion. We’ve gotten about 80 per cent there, but there’s always one person who flakes at the end,” she added.

When asked who she might mean, she said: “I’m not going to name names, but it may not be [David] Schwimmer.”

She did joke that Monica’s character could have her own movie, however.

“Monica is going to do a movie!” she laughed. “It’s going to be called Hanging With Monica. People will be running to the theatre.”

So in lieu of the reunion of the six-some with the unfeasibly massive apartment in the West Village, it sounds like Cox is set to concentrate more on directing.

Following the wind-up of her TV series 'Cougar Town’, she’s gone behind the camera, her debut movie, the comedy drama 'Just Before I Go’ out last week in the US.

But critics have not been kind to the movie so far, which stars Seann William Scott as a man who heads back to his hometown when his wife leaves him with the intention of killing himself.

Among a wealth of scathing reviews, The Hollywood Reporter called it 'a serious misfire’.
