Daniel Craig Shoots New Bond Sketch For Comic Relief 2015

Those who just can’t wait to see Daniel Craig return to screens as 007 in ‘SPECTRE’ this autumn can breathe a slight sigh of relief, as it seems we’ll be seeing Craig in Bond mode for this year’s Comic Relief.

BBC News report that the actor, currently shooting the 24th film in the James Bond series with director Sam Mendes, has shot a scene to be broadcast as part of the biannual TV charity event on Red Nose Day, Friday 13 March.

It is unclear at this point whether or not Craig will actually appear in character as Bond, as details on the ‘top secret 007 skit’ are being kept under wraps, but it is known the sketch will be aired during a new live event from the London Palladium entitled Face the Funny.

Craig has appeared in a Comic Relief sketch once before, alongside Catherine Tate in 2007. Famously, he also appeared in character alongside Her Majesty the Queen in a scene shot for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Reportedly, this year’s Comic Relief will also see Professor Stephen Hawking - who famously declared his interest in playing a Bond villain not long ago - appear in a ‘Little Britain’ sketch, taking the place of Matt Lucas’ character Andy.

Meanwhile, production continues on ‘SPECTRE,’ which is set to hit UK cinemas on 23 October 2015.
