Deadpool Supporting Cast Takes Form: TJ Miller And Ed Skrein In The Running
As 20th Century Fox’s long-awaited ‘Deadpool’ movie nears production, some names have been mentioned as likely candidates to appear alongside Ryan Reynolds.
The Wrap reports that TJ Miller and Ed Skrein are in talks to join the ‘X-Men’ spin-off, with Miller’s role said to be “an additional comic voice" in what is already expected to be an unusually comedic superhero movie. and Skrein thought to be playing the as-yet unnamed villain.

Leading man Reynolds will reprise his ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ role with what promises to be a more true-to-the-comics interpretation of Marvel’s ‘Merc with a Mouth’ mutant anti-hero.
Whilst seen in last year’s ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction,’ Miller may be most noted for his off-camera voice work in the ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ movies and the upcoming ‘Big Hero 6,’ and as the character behind the camera in Matt Reeves’ found footage monster movie ‘Cloverfield.’
British actor Skrein, meanwhile, is described by The Wrap as an “up and coming action star,” set to take over from Jason Statham in this summer’s ‘The Transporter Legacy,’ having previously appeared in ‘Ill Manors,’ ‘The Sweeney’ and TV’s ‘Game of Thrones.’
'Deadpool' will be the feature directorial debut of FX artist Miller, with a screenplay from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ('Zombieland,' 'GI Joe: Retaliation'). It's set to hit cinemas on 12 February 2016, kick-starting what should be a very busy year for 20th Century Fox's Marvel movies, with 'X-Men: Apocalypse' following on 27 May and 'Gambit' on 16 October.
