Dwayne Johnson Tells Us The Secret To His Success

Dwayne Johnson is a pretty inspirational guy.

He’s gone from being jobbing wrestler to a Hollywood A-Lister with millions of social media followers seemingly on the basis of his irresistible charm alone. However, when we caught up with him to talk about his new disaster movie ’San Andreas’, he revealed that the secret to his success lies in his “borderline crazy” dedication to to his craft.

“There really is no substitute for hard work,” Dwayne explained when we asked for career advice.

“You have GOT to put in the time and the hours and - by the way - this is where it gets a little a wonky and it’s borderline crazy, where you might have to see a psychiatrist. When you push yourself when no-one else is around, when you’re by yourself, the time and commitment you put in, that’s when you start to lay the groundwork for success.

"Or, the groundwork to be a maniac. Cause you’re doing a lot of things by yourself!”

In his new movie ‘San Andreas’ the actor formerly known as The Rock plays a helicopter rescue pilot who does whatever it takes to save his family from a monster quake that rocks the West Coast of America.

It’s an inspirational role for the star who’s been vocal about his support for the emergency services while on the campaign trail for his new film, but it’s The Rock himself that we here at Yahoo Movies draw our inspiration from.
