Eddie Redmayne Is A Dead Ringer For Jennifer Garner In Eton Shakespeare Production

Hang on… is that Eddie Redmayne, or Jennifer Garner?

Let’s hope that Ben Affleck doesn’t bump into him at the Oscars, that’s all we’re saying, because this could get awkward.

The resemblance has been spotted thanks to a video online of the young Redmayne in a production of Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’, in which he played the part of Viola.

The Oscar-nominated star of ‘The Theory of Everything’ was recalling old roles while at Eton, where he went to school, while appearing on the Conan O’Brien show in the US.

Adding that he was often required to play female roles at the all-boys school, thanks to his girlish looks, he was then confronted with the stunning likeness.

He took it remarkably well.

“That is the greatest compliment I’ve ever heard!” he told O’Brien, who agreed ‘She is a very beautiful woman’.

She is indeed, Eddie, and so are you.

Eddie added that his distinctive looks have done him favours in Hollywood.

“There have been moments when it was very useful, about 7/8 years ago I was auditioning for a film called Savage Grace where Julianne Moore was playing my mum,” he said.

“I came for the last audition with her and she walked in and said, ‘Oh my god you even look like you could be my son!’

“So for that moment those freckles and pale skin and the years of sunblock were worth it!”

Redmayne is set to give Michael Keaton a run for his money in the race for the Best Actor Oscar, for his role playing Professor Stephen Hawking in the biopic ‘The Theory of Everything’.
