Evan Peters Confirms Quicksilver Return In X-Men: Apocalypse

It seems that Quicksilver will be back in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ as everyone’s favourite mutant speedster confirms his role.

After his appearance in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, Evan Peters’ Quicksilver has swiftly become a fan favourite. Darting to the rescue in that impressive kitchen sequence and helping the X-Men break Magneto out of jail, the young mutant has been reported to return in the upcoming sequel for some time.

And now Evan Peters seemingly confirms his involvement.

During an interview with I Am Rogue, the 28-year-old ‘X-Men’ actor confirmed that he’ll reprise the role of Quicksilver in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’.

“I think so, yes,” he said. “I assume it as well, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to say and not supposed to say… I haven’t seen a script.”

But when asked if he’s worked out his schedule for the film, it seems he’s not abel to give that much away.

“No. We’ll see. I think… I don’t know what I can say and what I can’t say. All I can say is that I have not seen a script yet.”

Of course, Quicksilver’s impressive scenes in ‘Days of Future Past’ were the surprise hit of 2014… and seem to have cemented his place on the ‘X-men’ roster – at least, in the eyes of the fans.

But what about Quicksilver’s sister?

In the comic books, Scarlet Witch is his red-headed sibling… and that seems to have been hinted at in the recent ‘Days of Future Past’. But has this scene paved the way for a role in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’?

Since ‘Apocalypse’ is likely to be set around a decade after the events of ‘Days of Future Past’, it’s entirely possible that Quicksilver’s younger sibling will now be all grown up. But whether or not she displays any impressive mutant powers remains to be seen.

Either way, it looks likely that she may make it to the big screen. Let’s just hope she’s as cool as her brother.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ heads to cinemas on 19 May 2016.
