Yahoo Movies The Exorcist is getting another sequel from Halloween reboot creators
Get ready to hear that iconic Tubular Bells theme once more, horror fans, as a sequel to William Friedkin's The Exorcist is currently in development.
David Gordon Green, who most recently directed the modern-day follow-up to Halloween, is currently in talks to direct the instalment, according to a new report by Observer.
The publication also says that the film is being produced by Blumhouse – a company which has been dominating the genre in recent years – and Morgan Creek Productions.

Based on William Peter Blatty's 1971 novel of the same name, The Exorcist was first released in 1973. It follows an actress who enlists the help of two Catholic priests after her 12-year-old daughter comes down with an unusual sickness and starts behaving very strangely.
Starring the likes of Ellen Burstyn, Linda Blair, Lee J Cobb, Jason Miller and the late Max von Sydow, it received ten Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Critically revered, it went on to make $193 million (£141.1m) at the box office and subsequently became the highest-grossing, R-rated horror movie of all time – that is, until It surpassed its record in 2017.
Since then, there have been several feature-length sequels, including Exorcist II: The Heretic and Exorcist: The Beginning, as well as two television series – the first of which acts as somewhat of a continuation to the original movie.
