Ezra Miller To Play The Flash In 2018 Solo Movie

It’s official – ‘The Flash’ solo movie has finally been announced, and will be racing to cinemas by 2018. But who will play the fastest man alive? That accolade goes straight to 22-year-old Ezra Miller.

Ever since the rumours at last year’s Comic Con, DC fans have been expecting ‘The Flash’ to get his very own solo outing. Of course, it seemed only natural… after all, a ‘Justice League’ movie is just around the corner. And while it may have taken Warner Bros. some time to find their very own scarlet speedster, it looks as though the cat’s finally out of the bag.

During a call to investors, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara revealed that The Flash will be getting his very own spin-off movie in 2018… and he’ll be played by Ezra Miller.

Thanks to Wall Street Journal reporter Ben Fritz for posting this rather thrilling info.

Although The CW’s ‘The Flash’ is still yet to make it to UK television screens, it’s no secret that the impressive new series has only just launched. And while Grant Gustin is continues to turn heads as Barry Allen, it looks as though he won’t be joining the likes of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill for the cinematic ‘Justice League’.

Instead, Warner Bros. has cast 22-year-old Ezra Miller – best known for ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’ and ‘The Perks of Being A Wallflower’. But is this plucky, young actor really the right man to bring ‘The Flash’ to the big screen?

I can’t help thinking it’s a bit of an odd choice… especially considering the disparity between him and the other members of the ‘Justice League’. Let’s face it – he looks a lot younger than both Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck. Can he really hold his own alongside them?

Although no writer or director is attached to the 2018 ‘The Flash’, it’s certainly going to be one to watch. It’s currently unknown whether Ezra Miller will be making an appearance in the upcoming ‘Batman V Superman’… but when it comes to the ‘Justice League’ I think we can count on it.
