Yet more evidence that next summer’s ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot is going to be drastically different to the comics has emerged after Toby Kebbell revealed that Doctor Doom’s origin story has been altered.

But that’s not all, because Kebbell also confirmed to Collider that the character’s surname has changed too.

Kebbell insisted that the character has only undergone some mild changes though. “He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story. And I’m sure I’ll be sent to jail for telling you that,” he explained.

The British actor went on to reveal that the Doom in Josh Trank’s impending blockbuster is a “very anti-social programmer” before adding that “on blogging sites [he’s] ‘Doom’.”

Meanwhile Kebbell also spoke about Victor Domashev’s role in the blockbuster before praising the ‘Chronicle’ filmmaker for his approach behind the camera.

“It was cool man,” he insisted. “Josh, the whole deal, the lo-fi way he did it, the ultra-real. It was just nice to do that. It was nice to be feeling like we had to come to terms with what was given by this incident.”

When it came to preparing to play the villain the ‘Dead Man Shoes’ actor admitted that he had mostly focused on his voice. “I’m excited to see it,” he declared. “The only thing I can tease you about is what I worked on most was the voice.”

'The Fantastic Four' will be released on August 7, 2015, also starring Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.
