Fast & Furious 7 Trailer: Vin Diesel And Paul Walker Smash The Laws Of Physics

Those who thought that Mr Diesel and crew couldn’t possibly have any surprises left with regards car-based stunts may be advised to reassess their expectations with the debut of the ‘Fast & Furious 7’ trailer.

Opening with an extended action sequence, Dom Toretto and his team, including the late Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner, parachute their hot rods into mountain scenery in order to perform a bafflingly-choreographed, high-octane rescue.

That’s right, parachuting cars… The stops, it would appear, have not only been pulled out, but incinerated just in case.

Following Walker’s ‘Italian Job’-esque escape from certain death, the scene is set for a classic revenge tale, with Ian Shaw (Jason Statham), the big brother of Owen Shaw, Luke Evans’ former special ops mercenary turned criminal from ‘F&F 6’, out for restitution.

And he starts with taking out Han, Dom’s friend from ‘Tokyo Drift’.

Poignantly, Diesel’s Toretto talks of ‘one last ride’ – Walker died while the movie was still being made, with his brothers Caleb and Cody later standing in on some of his scenes.

The trailer was debuted on the E! Network, Diesel adding: “The biggest objective was to honour my brother Paul Walker and his legacy.”

Also starring Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson, the James Wan-directed actioner is due out on April 3, 2015.
