Jack Black Is RL Stine In First Goosebumps Photos

'Goosebumps', the much-loved horror series of kids' novels from the 90s, is being made into a movie, and we've got the first photos to prove it.

Jack Black plays author R.L. Stine, the creator of the books, who teams up with a group of kids to take down his ficticious monsters when they are unwittingly unleashed in the real world.

The bespectacled author looks like he doesn’t quite believe his eyes to begin with, but the look of abject terror in the other photos prove that the menace he helped to create is very, very real.

Black has reteamed with his ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ and ‘Shark Tale’ director Rob Letterman for the film which will be released by Sony next Summer. An adaptation of the popular series has been kicking around Hollywood for many years now, with Tim Burton once attached to direct.

The ‘Goosebumps’ books were hugely popular during the 1990s and have since sold over 350m books worldwide in 32 languages.

Fans of 90s nostalgia are going to have a field day with this one.
