Yahoo Movies First Look At Henry Cavill's Man Of Steel From Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
The first sighting of Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder’s anticipated sequel ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ has landed online.
With slick hair and a muted colour palette, Cavill’s Kal-El is looking pensive and moody, but then it does appear to be hurling it down in Metropolis.
Unless of course, this is Gotham…
The shot follows the first image of Cavill’s Clark Kent, snapped on set and released earlier this week by the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund on Twitter.
And in turn, that followed the first snap of Ben Affleck’s Batman unveiled back in May.
Speaking to USA Today, where the picture has debuted, Snyder revealed a little of what it’s like to be recreating his superhero-heavy world with Cavill once again.

“We’ve both created this guy and we can push him around a little bit,” he said. “The more time I spend with Henry, the more he’s Superman to me.
He added that throwing Batman into the mix has been an interesting proposition too.
“I was in no rush to put Batman in the movie,” Snyder went on, “but on the other hand it seemed organic the way our story was unfolding to start to feather him in.
“It’s cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys.
“It’s never really been done and it’s kinda cool.”
Where ‘Man of Steel’ featured just one superhero - and one supervillian - this next instalment will introduce further characters, Affleck’s Batman aside.
Gal Godot will be joining the crew as Amazonian princess Wonder Woman, and is currently ‘working out and getting buff and ripped’, according to Snyder.

Elsewhere, Jesse Eisenberg will be taking on the role of Lex Luthor, Superman’s nemesis, and while still unconfirmed, it’s claimed that ‘Game of Thrones’ star Jason Momoa is poised to play Aquaman in the new movie.
How Superman and Batman will interact with each other remains under wraps, but Snyder did say ‘suffice it to say there is a ‘v’ in between their names’, meaning that there’s likely to be a little tension.
He added that making it ‘v’ rather than ‘vs’ was a deliberate choice, ‘to keep it from being a straight ‘versus’ movie, even in the most subtle way’.
Well that’s cleared that up then…
Signing off, he took a little swipe at the competition, perhaps the forthcoming ‘Avengers’ sequel ‘Avengers 2: Age of Ultron’, saying: “You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it’s Batman and Superman, let’s just be honest. I don’t know how you get bigger than that.”
Unfortunately, there’s still some considerable time to wait for the movie.
It’s not due out until April 29, 2016.
