First Look At Paul Rudd As Ant-Man

After releasing a frustratingly funny ‘Ant-Man’ poster, it looks as though Marvel has redeemed itself… with a cool first look at Paul Rudd in the Ant-Man suit.

It’s been a fun week for ‘Ant-Man’ fans after Marvel released an ‘ant-sized’ teaser trailer… followed by an equally diminutive look at the Ant-Man suit on the first official poster. But thankfully, it looks as though the fun and games have led to our first look at Paul Rudd after suiting up in his full costume.

And I have to admit, he looks pretty awesome.

Just hours before the new ‘Ant-Man’ trailer debuts online, the folks at Entertainment Weekly unveil their latest cover - giving us our first look at Paul Rudd in the full Ant-Man costume.

As you can see, it’s a pretty awesome cover… and an even cooler Ant-Man suit. Of course, we’ve seen it before in other test shots and as part of promotional materials. But this is the very first time we’ve seen Paul Rudd clamber into the costume.

And if you ask me, he looks pretty great.

Of course, Scott Lang isn’t the only one with access to Pym’s famous Particles… and EW promise that their latest issue will give us “the lowdown on Corey Stoll’s villainous Darren Cross (a.k.a. Yellowjacket) [as well as] what Rudd describes as the film’s ‘mind-blowing’ shrinking sequences.”

But will Yellowjacket’s suit be anywhere near as awesome as Ant-Man’s?

From what we’ve seen so far, it looks every bit as techie… and even more deadly. In fact, Corey Stoll recently described the Yellowjacket suit as ‘militaristic’.

“He has a suit that is sort of the next generation of Ant-Man’s suit,” he said. “It can do everything that Ant-Man can do, but more. It’s more badass, more militaristic, sleeker… sort of like if Apple had designed a battle suit. I just think the battles and the stuff that we’re going to do is gonna be so cool.”

‘Ant-Man’ heads to cinemas on 17 July 2015.
