Former Eastenders Star Unrecognisable In First Warcraft Images

The first photos from Duncan Jones’ highly secretive ‘Warcraft’ movie have been released giving us our first look at former Eastenders star Rob Kazinsky’s fearsome Orgrim the Orc.

The images appeared on Wired as part of the magazine’s celebration of VFX wizards ILM who helped transform the British actor using the magic of CGI. They took concept art from best-selling video game ‘World of Warcraft’ and merged it with photos of Kazinsky to create the imposing beast.

British actor Kazinsky played Sean Slater for three years between 2006-2009, before his character departed on New Year’s day 2009.

Since leaving Albert Square, Rob has appeared in Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim’ and hit vampire TV show ‘True Blood’, but the long-awaited adaptation of ‘Warcraft’ is likely to be his biggest movie role to date, even if it’s hard to recognise him beneath the CGI.

Director Duncan Jones (son of David Bowie and director of ‘Source Code’ and ‘Moon’) says of the former soap star: “We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humour, and the toughness of this character.”

‘Warcraft’, based on the hit video game ‘World of Warcraft’, is coming to cinemas on 10 June, 2016.
