Full Colour Image Of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman - With A Cape!

Fan reactions surrounding the upcoming ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ would seem to be mixed at best recently, since the trailer left many feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Sentiments toward Gal Gadot’s casting as Wonder Woman (who was not shown in the trailer) have tended to be even pricklier - but might there be a change in the wind with the reveal of a new, full colour look at the actress in costume?

Shared by serial superhero movie scoopster Umberto Gonzalez on Instagram, this concept art would seem to have finally confirmed that Gadot will indeed be seen in the red, blue and gold tones traditionally associated with Wonder Woman.

It’s also our first indication that she will be clad in what looks to be a pretty impressive cape, which is by no means a mainstay of the DC Comics superheroine’s costume.

This is quite the contrast from the cape-free look of Gadot in the only photo of her as Wonder Woman which had been released thus far. The coppery lighting of that initial photograph also left the colour of the suit ambiguous.

The new image may well look a bit more like the Wonder Woman that fans know and love, but given that it’s an artist’s impression rather than an actual image of Gadot in action, it probably won’t silence the naysayers just yet.

‘Fast Five’ actress Gadot has faced perhaps the harshest criticism of the ‘Batman V Superman’ cast for her perceived lack of acting ability, but more so for being considered too thin to portray a superpowered Amazon warrior.

Gadot recently responded to her critics: “They said I was too skinny and my boobs were too small…  It’s just empty talk. I understand that part of what I’m doing means being exposed. And part of being exposed is being under fire.”

She also stressed her passion for the role, which she described as “the strongest, most empowering woman ever.”

After debuting in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ Gadot is set to reprise the role in a ‘Wonder Woman’ solo movie, from director Patty Jenkins (who recently replaced original director Michelle MacLaren), and the two ‘Justice League’ films, also to be helmed by ‘Batman V Superman’ director Zack Snyder.
