Ghostbusters: Afterlife isn't a film we've heard a lot about recently, apart from a character reveal in an episode of Spain's version of MasterChef Junior, of all things.

To be fair, it's been delayed multiple times due to you know what, and Sony seems to have settled on a quite far-off November release date. Still, the studio has now decided to tide fans over with a short scene unveiling a new version of a famous face.

These adorable little rascals are what you'd get if you threw the original Ghostbusters' Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda and Doctor Who's Adipose into a blender and cloned the result. They look like they'll provide mischievous comic relief rather than being a genuine threat, but you never know...

Also, did you notice that Paul Rudd was perusing the Baskin Robbins section in the clip? That's almost certainly a meta reference to the first Ant-Man movie, in which Rudd's character Scott Lang got a job at the chain, before losing it due to his criminal conviction.

Afterlife is bringing back a whole host of stars from the beloved original movie (and its less-beloved sequel) after the reboot underperformed. Star Ernie Hudson has said that it will be what "fans have been hoping for", but hopefully it will be more than just nostalgia.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is out in cinemas on November 11, 2021.
