UPDATE: Harry Potter's Robbie Coltrane Hospitalised

UPDATE: Actor Robbie Coltrane is now on the road to recovery after being hospitalised in America.

His agent Belinda Wright issued a statement confirming the ’Harry Potter’ star was better after being admitted to a Florida hospital following a transatlantic flight.

She said: “The prognosis is that he is going to be fine.”

ORIGINAL STORY: Robbie Coltrane has been hospitalised after falling ill on a flight from London to Orlando, Florida, according to reports.

The 64-year-old star,who played the towering half-giant Hagrid in the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, was suffering from flu-like symptoms, says TMZ.

He was reportedly met off the plane in Orlando by paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital and was then kept in overnight for treatment.

Coltrane was on the way to the second annual ‘A Celebration of Harry Potter’ convention, taking place at Universal Studios.

Michael Gambon, who played the wizard Dumbledore in the Potter movies, was reportedly on the same plane.

TMZ also reports that a fan tweeted that they’d spotted the actor having a drink in the airport lounge at Heathrow before boarding the plane.
