Hocus Pocus 2: Bette Midler Encourages Fans To Pester Disney For Sequel

Hollywood legend Bette Midler, the star of the popular Disney film ‘Hocus Pocus’, has revealed that the entire cast, including herself, are keen on a sequel.

However, whilst the actors are prepared to knuckle down, it’s now in the hands of Disney to decide and green light the sequel. So far they’ve not committed to such a project, but surely the eagerness of its original cast (and fans) will prompt them to do so.

In a recent Reddit AMA interview, Midler said: ”Inundate the Disney Company, because I have canvassed the girls [Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimi] and they are willing to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a ‘Hocus Pocus 2’, ask the Walt Disney Company.”

The film has become something of a cult DVD hit in recent years, with movie lovers re-watching the spooky tale during Halloween and beyond. Midler only fuels the fire after saying how much she adored the role. “I actually think it’s the best thing I ever did,” claims the icon to E! News, which is certainly an interesting revelation.

The rumours regarding ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ have been circulating for a number of months now, with the most whisper recent being that Tina Fey of ‘Mean Girls’ was penning a script for a mysterious Disney flick only known as ‘Untitled Witch Project’.

So it seems like the ball (or should that be cauldron?) is firmly in Disney’s court, so time will tell if the demand for more ‘Hocus Pocus’ mischief will be heard and ever see on the big screen.
