Horns Set Was Cold To Keep Stars ‘Perky’ In Nude Scenes

Juno Temple has revealed that the filmmakers on her new film ‘Horns' deliberately kept the set cold on the day of her nude scene with co-star Daniel Radcliffe, to simulate a “nip” in the air… if you catch our drift.

She told us, “[The nude scene] was in a tree house, but we were actually on a set, even though the temperature was kept cold. But that’s quite good, it keeps everything perky.”

This isn’t Temple’s first nude scene on film, in fact she’s stripped on ‘Killer Joe’, ‘Afternoon Delight’, ‘Magic Magic’, and ‘Sin City 2’, but the British star admits it’s easier to do a revealing scene with someone you know, like the former Boy Wizard, rather than with relative strangers.

"It makes [nude scenes] so much less uncomfortable [doing them with friends], and I think sex scenes shouldn’t be uncomfortable. They should be awkward in the sense that they are very unsexy… but you should be able to laugh about it too with friends."

Daniel Radcliffe is no stranger to being nude on film, and it’s becoming a bit of a running joke for the star.

“It’s the thing everyone takes the p*** out of me for – even my parents.” he told us earlier this year while promoting rom-com ‘What If’, and he’s at it again in ‘Horns’.

He plays Ig Parrish, a troubled young man accused of murdering his childhood sweetheart Merrin, played by fellow clothes-phobe Temple.

Their obligatory nude scene together in Alexandre Aja’s horror sees the couple embracing in their treehouse den and Radcliffe agrees it’s easier to get your magic wand out when you have allies on screen.

"It’s definitely [easier] when you know someone better and you get on with them, it’s a lot more fun."

For those eagerly awaiting Daniel’s next nude scene on film, they may be disappointed to learn there are none in the forthcoming ‘Victor Frankenstein’, in which he plays Igor.

"There’s no full nudity [in ‘Victor Frankenstein’] it’s pretty tame. So yes, in ‘Victor Frankenstein’ I prove that I can do a film with my clothes on!.”

'Horns' is in UK cinemas today.
