Now here’s a chip off the old block…

The 77-year-old screen legend Jack Nicholson and his 22-year-old son Ray, the youngest of his four children, hit a theatre fundraiser in the opulent Hamptons over the weekend.

Boasting his father’s most distinctive eyebrows, the young Nicholson and his dad attended the event – being thrown in aid of the Apollo Theatre – alongside the likes of Jamie Foxx, Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, Harvey Weinstein and Don Johnson.

Nicholson was the same age as his son - just 22 - when he first appeared on the silver screen, in the movie ‘Cry Baby Killer’ in 1959 (below), and now young Ray is also planning to follow his father into the movie business.

But though he has the dashing good looks of a leading man, Ray Nicholson is gunning for a career behind the camera instead.

He’s already bagged himself two assistant director credits – one on indie comedy-drama ‘A Reunion’, and another on the TV movie ‘Boots’.

Ray is the second child Nicholson had with the actress Rebecca Broussard, whom ‘The Shining’ star had a relationship with between 1989 and 1994.

Nicholson has three other children; Jennifer Nicholson, from his marriage to Sandra Knight, Honey Hollman, from his relationship with Danish model Winnie Hollman, and Lorraine Nicholson, his other child with Broussard.
