Jennifer Aniston On Cake: You Don't Need To Go Ugly To Win Awards
The first trailer for Jennifer Aniston’s new drama ‘Cake’ arrived overnight revealing a new side to the former ‘Friends’ star. Watch it above.
The 45-year-old actress is virtually unrecognisable as Claire, a suicidal chronic pain sufferer with facial scars, and early reviews for the film have prompted speculation that the star could be in line for awards glory.

However, the ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ star told us she doesn’t believe in the old Hollywood adage that to win an Oscar, you have to go ugly. Watch our exclusive interview below.
"That has happened in some cases obviously, but there’s many situations where actresses and actors don’t dress down and get that sort of [awards] attention,” she explains.
'Cake', which also stars Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington, is clearly very different to the comedic films we're used to seeing Aniston in, and she admits, that was part of the allure.
"The role [of Claire in ‘Cake’] was so far from anything I’ve ever played and it was really, really challenging and quite a departure [for me]."
"I just really wanted to get my hands on this character. I really wanted to play this person."
Aniston’s latest film ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ is in cinemas this week.
