Killer Croc Revealed In Suicide Squad Set Photo

‘Suicide Squad’ has finally given us a proper look at Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc… as he shows off his reptilian physique in a new, behind-the-scenes photo.

It’s no secret that the ‘Suicide Squad’ line-up has grown quite a bit since we first got wind of the upcoming movie… adding numerous villains such as El Diablo, Slipknot and even Asian assassin, Katana.

One of the most obvious new additions is Killer Croc – a reptilian villain with a unique look. And now we’ve finally got a good glimpse at how he’ll look on screen.

Appearing on Twitter thanks to DC fan and Toronto blogger Thalia Worldwide, the first behind-the-scenes image of Killer Croc shows off his impressive makeup.

Of course, we’ve already seen Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje appear alongside fellow Suicide Squad members during David Ayer’s official lineup… but with clothes covering most of his body, this is the first good look at his makeup.

And I have to admit, it’s rather impressive.

Clearly, David Ayer is going for a more human look than the recent comic book incarnations – more in line with Killer Croc’s original appearances. Suffering from a form of atavism, the renowned Batman villain exhibits many physical characteristics associated with crocodiles.

Hence his name.

Killer Croc possesses great physical strength as well as a scaled body which is impenetrable to even high calibre weapons. And on top of that, he has even shown the ability to regenerate lost limbs with a heightened healing ability.

All-in-all, a rather heavyweight foe.

But how will he appear in the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’?

It’s likely that David Ayer is taking a slightly more subtle approach to Croc’s abilities. After all, Killer Croc tends to be depicted as having more heightened abilities at times when he appears far more reptilian. And the ‘Suicide Squad’ version still retains at least a vague look of humanity.

But will we see him regrow any of his limbs? I can’t help thinking that would look awesome on the big screen… but for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Suicide Squad’ heads to cinemas on 5 August 2016.
