Yahoo Movies Masterminds: Newly Slender Zach Galifianakis Stars In Debut Trailer
‘Hangover’ star Zach Galifianakis turned heads at the New York Film Festival last year when he revealed his stunning weight-loss transformation at the gala premiere of ‘Birdman’.
We can now see his newly trim physique in action in the debut trailer for ‘Masterminds’, the new film from ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ creator Jared Hess.
Galifianakis plays David, a dim-witted night guard who pulls off one of the biggest bank heists in US history. The story is loosely based on the true story of the 1997 Loomis Fargo bank robbery in Charlotte, North Carolina which saw $17.3 million in cash stolen by bank staff.
Joining Galifianakis is Kristen Wiig as his accomplice Kelly, Jason Sudeikis as hitman Mike, and Owen Wilson as David’s friend Steve.
‘Masterminds’ is coming to UK cinemas on 7 August, 2015.
