Masters Of The Universe Reboot: New Script Rewrite Ready

Kick-Ass 2’s Jeff Wadlow has turned in the new draft of the Master Of The Universe movie reboot…

2015 might just be the year that the planned movie reboot of Masters Of The Universe finally happens. Certainly given the success of the G.I. Joe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, to name but two, it seems as though obstacles are being removed to it getting a green light.

It was G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon M Chu who was attached to the project for some time, but he’s no longer on board. One person who is though is Jeff Wadlow. The Kick-Ass 2 director was reportedly doing a rewrite of the script for the film, and according to Columbia Pictures’ DeVon Franklin - the studio’s senior vice president of production, no less - a new draft was in place on Christmas Eve. He Tweeted a picture of said draft on his Twitter account, no less. So it must be true.

What happens next? Good question. Assuming that latest draft greases some wheels however, Jeff Wadlow would presumably have a decent shot at directing the movie as well. He certainly seems to be in pole position.
