New Avengers: Age Of Ultron Art Reveals Paul Bettany's The Vision

Although we’ve seen plenty of images from ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, the Vision has remained shrouded in secrecy… that is, until now.

Appearing in some all-new promo art straight from Marvel Studios, we finally get a glimpse of how The Vision will look on the big screen. And with a classic comic book colour-scheme, he looks pretty awesome.

Appearing on Fathead (via SuperheroHype), these all-new promo images have been designed as wall decals to spruce up your favourite Avengers fan’s bedroom but inadvertently give us a look at Marvel’s most reclusive Avenger including this rather striking close up look.

Obviously, this colour scheme is a pretty direct homage to the classic look from the comic books and it’s entirely different to the one we’d seen rumoured.

Suggested to be sporting a more muted look, the Vision was teased recently in an image of a Pop Vinyl collectable – wearing a grey and fuchsia costume.

But these new images suggest a costume that’s far closer to the look of the comic books. And I’m sure Marvel fans across the globe will be breathing a sigh of relief.

But is this the Vision we’ll see on the big screen?

The trouble is, there’s also this other image from the same collection of promo art…

As you can see, the second image shows a far more muted version of the Vision’s costume… and seems to fall in line with the greyer look of the Pop Vinyl shots. But is this a question of lighting?

In both images, the intricacies of the costume design are largely identical. It’s just the colour scheme which seems to differ. Will the Vision sport two different robotic bodies, in the same way that Ultron is said to upgrade himself? Or is the second image merely a more muted, grittier look at the same hero?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ heads to cinemas on 23 April 2015.
