New Interstellar Trailer Reveals More Of Chris Nolan’s Sci-fi Stunner

Last week the ‘Interstellar’s star and director, Matthew McConaughey and Chris Nolan, put in one of the most-talked about appearances at Comic Con 2014.

Now Warner Bros. is duly capitalising on the attention by releasing a third trailer for the Christopher Nolan sci-fi story.

It shows Matthew McConaughey caught between despair and hope, leaving his home, his daughter and his drought-wracked planet to look for a future for mankind elsewhere.

“We used to look up and wonder about our place in the stars,” he says.

“Now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.”

Long time Nolan favourite Michael Caine supplies much of the voiceover. He appears to have a guiding role, advising McConaughey and Anne Hathaway’s astronauts and quoting Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (“Rage, rage against the dying of the light”).

This in turns sparks the trailer’s optimistic closing, with McConaughey intoning, “We’ll find a way. We always have.”

At Comic-Con, McConaughey told the audience “It is by far the most ambitious film Mr Nolan has directed”.

From what we now know, ‘Interstellar’ might make his last non-Batman direction, the incredible mind-bending sci-fi thriller ‘Inception’, look like a gentle warm-up.

'Interstellar', which is said to deal with wormholes and time-travel, is coming to cinemas 7 November, 2014.
