New Interstellar TV Ads Reveal Fresh Plot Details

Even though it’s less than a month until the release of ‘Interstellar’, we actually know very little about the plot of Christopher Nolan’s latest sci-fi offering.

We know that a team of explorers, led by Matthew McConaughey’s Cooper, must leave a barren dust-covered Earth to seek help from the furthest reaches of the galaxy, covering vast distances in a experimental spacecraft with help from time-travelling wormholes.

Three new UK TV spots though have offered up a few new snippets of info, revealing some interesting details about the film’s plot. Watch them below.

"Future" TV Spot

It’ll have weird ‘Inception’ time

Remember that scene in ‘Inception’ where it seemed to take forever for the van to fall off the bridge? Well, it looks like ‘Interstellar’ may feature similar temporal distortions as one character explains “every hour on that planet will be seven years back on Earth.”

They’ll pay a visit to one of Saturn’s moons

We’ve always expected deep space travel, but it looks like the crew will also visit a location within our solar system. We know it’s near Saturn as you can clearly see Pandora and Prometheus in its orbit, but what is this “Unidentified” moon? We guess it’s one of the crew’s destinations they visit in the search for a planet to “habitate the people that are living on Earth.”

Or could it be the location of a wormhole?

"Make It" TV Spot

They only have a dozen options left

The voice over informs us that there are only “12 potentially habitable planets” within Earth’s reach. We’ve seen the frozen planet with the sky mountains, and the water planet with the gargantuan waves – how many more will we see in the final film… and will they find aliens on any of them?

"Countdown" TV Spot

The space-ship’s robots are unbelievably cool

We’ve seen glimpses of the ship’s two monolith-style robots before, but this new ad gives us our best look yet at their incredible capabilities. We think people will be raving about these when the film is released nationwide on November 7.
