New Star Wars 7 Trailer Could Debut At Live UK Cinema Event

A special, one-off ‘Star Wars’ event is heading to London… but could this be our first glimpse at the new ‘Star Wars VII’ trailer?

It’s no secret that ‘Star Wars Celebration’ is just around the corner – the annual festival which celebrates everything from the galaxy far, far away. But with a special panel lead by director J.J. Abrams being streamed live in London, we have to wonder – could this be our first glimpse at the new trailer?

“Star Wars Celebration – the ultimate Star Wars fan experience – kicks off in Anaheim, California and London, UK on April 16 at 6PM GMT,” says the official press release. But there’s plenty more to get excited about. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel, hosted by J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy with special guests, to simulcast in select international cinemas.”

“Fans in the U.K who are unable to attend Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California are invited to enter a competition to win tickets to a live event at Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, London.”

Of course, it’s likely to be quite an event… and with J.J. Abrams talking about ‘Star Wars VII’, it could be our first real discussion of the film so far. And with rumours that another ‘Star Wars VII’ trailer is on its way, I can’t help thinking we might also see that trailer debut at the event.

After all, it seems rather fitting to release the trailer at ‘Star Wars Celebration’.

Even if the trailer will likely be released online shortly afterwards…

“All attendees of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens UK Fan Event will have the opportunity to win exclusive collectibles and other exciting prizes,” they explain. “Additionally fans are encouraged to dress as their favourite Star Wars characters.”

But how can you get involved?

Although details are scarce, it looks as though tickets will be secured in an upcoming competition… further information to be announced shortly on the Star Wars UK social channels.

Will the event include the highly-sought-after ‘Star Wars VII’ trailer? For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But I’d bet my Corellian Light Freighter on it.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ heads to cinemas on 18 December 2015.
