New Trailer: Jupiter Ascending Just Got Crazier

Just when you thought you had a handle on the Wachowski’s new movie ‘Jupiter Ascending’, a new trailer comes and whips the rug away.

This latest glimpse of the sci-fi actioner seems to show Andy and Lana Wachowski dealing with the kind of mind-bending high-concepts they approached in their breakthrough ‘The Matrix’.

In their vision of dystopian future, it turns out that life on Earth was ‘seeded’ by a galactic dynasty over 100,000 years ago, with that dynasty still ruling over us.

It’s big thinking.

With Mila Kunis as a janitor type lady – but actually one who is heir to the Earth and can save us all from certain destruction – this bold futurist vision befits the Wachowski’s previous grand ambitions.

Throw in Channing Tatum with pixie ears, and ‘Jupiter Ascending’ might just be too intriguing to miss.

Also starring Eddie Redmayne as the villainous Balem, Sean Bean as a galactic northerner and Tuppence Middleton as Balem’s sister Kalique, it hits cinemas in February next year.
