Next Star Wars VII Trailer Features Han, Luke and Leia?

Although Han, Luke and Leia were notably absent from the recent ‘Star Wars VII’ trailer, they might just appear in the next one…

It’s no secret that ‘Star Wars’ fans were a tad disappointed when Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher failed to appear in the first trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. But with the film less than a year away, we have to see them sooner or later… right?

And our first glimpse could be in the upcoming second teaser trailer.

According to the Latino Review, the second trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ will be heading our way soon… and may feature some familiar faces.

“We have been waiting for 32 years to see any new footage of Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie blasting into new adventures, the wait is almost over,” they said. “I got off the phone last night with my source and was able to confirm that we will see the new 2nd teaser trailer that will include all our classic heroes attached to the Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st, 2015.”

Of course, attaching the trailer to ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ makes a lot of sense, especially since both Marvel and Lucasfilm are under the Disney umbrella these days. And this release date certainly seems to tally with what we’ve been hearing.

But will we see the original trio?

Although the Latino Review seems pretty certain, Germain Lussier from /Film is another story entirely.

“I trust Latino Review when it comes to Star Wars stuff, but we SPECIFICALLY heard the original cast WON’T be featured in the marketing,” he said via Twitter. “I heard they want to keep their roles a surprise, and the series isn’t about them anymore.”

It seems that most reporters are in agreement on when the next trailer will drop… but the matter of Ford, Hamill and Fisher is another matter. And as you can see, there are some rather conflicting reports on what we can expect.

At the moment, I get the feeling that most of these reports are based on conjecture from their sources… and the only people who really know what to expect are Disney and Lucasfilm. Of course, it won’t be long before we see who’s right.

But my money is the original trio sitting this one out.

‘Star Wars VII’ heads to cinemas on 18 December 2015.
