Orlando Bloom Returning To Pirates Of The Caribbean Franchise?

Orlando Bloom has revealed he might be starring in ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’.

The actor was talking at the Oz Comic-Con in Brisbane when he let slip that he’d been talking with the saga’s producers about bringing his character Will Turner back to the franchise.

"There have certainly been some discussions about it and I’m open to it,” he said. “That whole experience working with Johnny and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me.

"One of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity was because Johnny was involved. I was such a massive fan of Johnny Depp growing up so to get up close and personal to Johnny and see how he worked as an actor was just a massive gift.”

Will Turner was a blacksmith who ended up becoming a pirate alongside Captain Jack Sparrow, as well as falling in love with Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley).

The fifth film in the series – which has cumulatively earned more than £2.2 billion at the worldwide box office – will be called ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’. Johnny Depp will return to play Captain Jack, while ‘Kon-Tiki’ directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg will helm.

Christoph Waltz and Geoffrey Rush are also rumoured to be returning for the film, which is due to be released in 2017.
