Yahoo Movies People call for ‘Home Alone 2 extra’ Trump to be removed from film after Twitter ban
Following the permanent suspension of Donald Trump from Twitter, many are now referring to the outgoing president as “a Home Alone extra”.
People are also calling for his cameo appearance in 1992 sequel Home Alone: Lost in New York to be digitally removed ahead of its televised showings later this year.
There have been plenty of suggestions that Christopher Plummer be added in his place.
Plummer famously appeared as J Paul Getty in Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World (2017) after Kevin Spacey’s scenes as the character were scrapped due to the sexual assault allegations he faced.
“Can someone call Christopher Plummer and see if he can replace him?” one person asked.
Author Andrew Hunter Murray added: “[Trump] should be tried, imprisoned, and digitally removed from Home Alone 2.”
“Does anyone know if the actor from Home Alone 2 has a Twitter account? “ one person asked, sarcastically with another stating: “I can’t believe one of the extras from Home Alone 2: Lost in New York was kicked off Twitter.”
Someone took it upon themselves to edit Trump out of the shot in the 1992 in which Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) wanders into the Plaza Hotel – a scene Trump is said to have “bullied” his way into.

Disney+ have announced that Christopher Plummer will now tell Kevin where the lobby is in Home Alone 2.

Twitter’s decision comes days after Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol building in Washington DC to prevent Joe Biden’s presidency from being certified.
The social media site said it had taken drastic action against the outgoing president because of the “risk of further incitement of violence” if it let him continue to use the platform.
The world of entertainment reacted with joy to the news, with Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen calling it “the most important moment in social media history”.
