Porsche has responded to the suit filed against them in the Paul Walker crash.

Lawyers for the company blame Roger Rodas, the driver of the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that was carrying the late actor, for the fatal accident.

Earlier this month Roger’s widow, Kristine Rodas, filed suit against Porsche Cars North America, citing negligence as the cause of death of her husband and Walker. She is also suing for product liability and wrongful death.

Roger Rodas, 38, was a financial planner, but also spent time competitively racing Porsche cars.

According to the final report from the L.A. coroner’s office, the vehicle the two men were traveling in topped 100 mph when it crashed into a curb, tree, and light post before bursting into flames in Santa Clarita, California, on Nov. 30, 2013. Investigators found the cause of the accident to be speed.

The Fast and the Furious star, 40, ultimately died of “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.” Rodas’s cause of death was “multiple traumatic injuries.”

"Roger Rodas’s death, and all other injuries or damages claimed, were the result of Roger Rodas’s own comparative fault," lawyers for Porsche said in a response filing on Monday, adding Rodas "chose to conduct himself in a manner so as to expose himself and others to such perils, dangers and risks."

Porsche has denied that the car model has any defects.

In December, Paul Walker’s estate filed a claim, seeking nearly $2 million from Rodas’s beneficiaries.

Walker is survived by his parents, four siblings, and 16-year-old daughter, Meadow.
