Randy Quaid Unrecognisable As He’s Released From Canadian Jail

Actor Randy Quaid has been granted release from a Montreal immigration detention centre on a $10,000 bond after being arrested last week by Canadian Border Service Agency officials, the Canadian Press newswire service reported Tuesday.

Quaid and his wife, Evi Quaid, have lived in Canada since avoiding felony vandalism charges in California in 2010.

At the time, they made international headlines by seeking Canadian refugee status to evade Hollywood ‘star whackers’.

But in his latest run-in with Canadian immigration officials, Quaid was arrested last Thursday in Montreal.

He and Evi Quaid have lived in that city since January 2013 when Quaid was denied a bid for permanent residency status.

The terms of Quaid’s release include letting Canadian immigration officials know of his whereabouts.

Evi Quaid can remain in Canada with full citizenship because her father is Canadian.

Quaid is best known for movie roles in Brokeback Mountain, National Lampoon’s Vacation and Independence Day.

In February 2015, he and Evi Quaid delivered a YouTube video rant against Rupert Murdoch for participating in an alleged conspiracy with News Corp, Warner Bros. and TMZ.
