Ray Fisher Didn’t Know About Cyborg Solo Movie

Although Ray Fisher has been confirmed as DC’s Cyborg for the upcoming ‘Batman V Superman’ and ‘Justice League’ films, he first learned he was getting his solo film when Warner Bros. announced last week.

“I didn’t know the extent to which DC and WB had planned on taking my character,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “When I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific information, I found out then and there. I didn’t think I’d be getting my own stand-alone film.”

Of course, while Fisher’s involvement has only just been confirmed, he’s been attached to the DC universe for some time and wrapped filming for ‘Batman V Superman’ back in July.

“I met everyone in the Justice League except Henry Cavill and Ezra Miller,” he said. “It was surreal. You get this idea of going to work on a Hollywood set as being really stressful and nerve-wracking. But it blew that stereotype away. If they did have stressful times, it wasn’t while I was there.”

Ray Fisher comes to the superhero genre relatively fresh in fact, this marks the actor’s big screen debut after a successful theatrical career. But is he the right guy to bring Cyborg to the big screen? After an impressive transformation bulking up for the role of Muhammad Ali in the show ‘Fetch Clay, Make Man’, it seems he’s going to be right up Snyder’s street.

But what can we expect from DC’s impressive slate?

“Let me tell you, man,” Fisher apparently said with a laugh, “people are in for a hell of a treat.”
